Blue Aerogram by Rashmi

GLOCAL ARTIST.  A local artist with global roots, I feel connections everywhere.  And ALL are welcome here.

As someone who traveled back and forth between the old world and new, it’s all personal.  Everyone matters.  Music and storytelling are languages that speak to EVERYONE and are catalysts for generating powerful transformations in the world.  As a Western woman with Eastern roots, my intention with my art is to bridge gaps, tell universal stories, and give voice to the unheard.  We are more alike than we are different and art is a powerful tool to build awareness and affect global change.

An AUDELCO-nominated actress, I have worked with Ron Howard and Ed Zwick.  My most recent album, Puzzle, won the Akademia Music Award for Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter Album.  My screenplay, THE DIVIDE,  is a Sundance Producers Lab finalist and Honorable Mention Winner at the HBO Urbanworld Festival.  I am a four-time Writer-in-Performance Resident at The Tribeca Performing Arts Center, a selected artist of the New York City Artist Corps, a Queens Council on the Arts New Work Grantee, and a Puffin Foundation Grant Recipient.

Let's take on the world together.
