WORLD-WIDE WELCOME!!
Current New Yorker. Born in Texas. Lived in Los Angeles. Studied in Paris, France, and Mumbai, India.
GLOCAL. A local artist with global roots. ALL are welcome here.
Most Recent: Queens Council on the Arts and Puffin Foundation Grant Recipient, I created, wrote, and performed the QUEENS of Queens: Folk Songs for the Women of Woodside New Works Performance. I am currently a New York Screenwriting Fellow with the Writers Guild East and FilmNation.
Music and storytelling are languages that speak to EVERYONE and are catalysts for generating powerful transformations in the world. As a Western woman with Eastern roots, my intention with my art is to bridge gaps, tell universal stories, and give voice to the unheard. We are more alike than we are different and art is a powerful tool to build awareness and affect global change.
An AUDELCO-nominated actress, I have worked with Ron Howard and Ed Zwick. My most recent album, Puzzle, won the Akademia Music Award for Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter Album. I toured nationally as a classical soprano and played The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods. My screenplay, THE DIVIDE, is a Sundance Producers Lab finalist, and an Honorable Mention Winner at the HBO Urbanworld Film Festival. I am a four-time Writer-in-Performance Resident at The Tribeca Performing Arts Center, a selected artist of the New York City Artist Corps, a Queens Council on the Arts New Work Grantee, and a Puffin Foundation Grant Recipient.
Together, let's make the most of our time on this beautiful planet!
